Singapore Session

JUNE 17 - JULY 5, 2019. AGES 6 - 18. MONDAY TO FRIDAY, 9 A.M. - 3 P.M.
Eagle Hill School in Singapore

Eagle Hill School is expanding its outreach into the larger Southeast Asian community of diverse learners by offering
a three-week Summer Academic Program for students in Singapore. This program is in collaboration with Eagle Hill School Greenwich, CT and the Singapore American School (SAS).

Faculty from Eagle Hill School will work with students at SAS to receive an individualized, skill-based program where explicit instruction will be provided in the areas of reading, writing, mathematics, study skills, executive functioning, and attention issues. This program is designed for students ages six to eighteen who are in need of additional support in these academic areas. Class sizes will be small, and courses will focus on the individual areas of academic need for each student.

This program will be located at the Singapore American School campus: 40 Woodlands Street - 41 Singapore 738547

Academic classes are focused on the development of specific skills and strategies using an explicit, research-based instructional model.

Students are placed in small groups and instruction is individualized and tailored specifically to each student's learning profile. The small class size provides an intimate learning environment.

Students are presented lessons that use a variety of techniques to ensure that instruction is motivating, fun, and encourages active learning. Multi-sensory and experiential activities and cooperative group learning/projects are examples of strategies that are used.

Each child is offered a learning experience that is positive and successful. This learning environment is highly structured, supportive, and encourages confidence in both their academic skills and self-esteem.

Our supportive and nurturing environment is the key to providing a social experience in which each child feels accepted and valued.

A pre-program assessment of skills allows the admissions team to place each student in classes that will best ensure optimal learning. Additionally, admissions team members will have a discussion with parents and ask to see supporting documents and school work.

This program will include four classes per day for three weeks.
  • Reading and Reading Comprehension
  • Writing
  • Math
  • Study Skills
Classes include a combination of direct instruction, cooperative group work, and individualized one-on-one instruction. Teachers will provide parents with a detailed report of their child's progress in each subject area, and a parent conference will be offered at the conclusion of the program.

Tuition for this program is $4,500 (US dollars). If you are accepted into the program, you will be provided instructions on how to pay in US funds via international wire.
