Student Leadership

Eagle Hill School believes that we must cultivate in our students a sense of moral responsibility for the world around them. In support of this belief, all students complete at least ten hours of community service per year as a high school student. Community service can be any volunteer work that students do to clearly benefit a community, in the student’s hometown, at school, or through a school-sponsored program. Eagle Hill provides a number of on-campus clubs and activities to aid students in earning their community service hours. Most Eagle Hill students complete well over the requirement.

After a rigorous three-day training, orientation leaders have the responsibility of leading new students through a series of presentations and activities to familiarize them with the important aspects of both academic and student life at Eagle Hill.

Not only are new students more fully prepared to begin their career at EHS, but the process of bonding among new and veteran students gets a jump-start, strengthening the student community and setting a positive tone for the year to come.

Student Council meets weekly to discuss student issues and plan community-building events. Student Council officers include president, vice president, and secretary. Representatives are also elected in each dormitory.  

Current students have the opportunity for a paid five-week summer internship serving as role models for the traditionally younger population of the Eagle Hill summer program. Student interns serve as faculty assistants and student leaders in a wide range of capacities throughout the summer.
