Mr. Doug Koczur
Mr. Koczur believes that home is where you belong, where you are loved, cared for, and respected by others belonging to that home. It is enjoyable—where you can live, laugh, and learn.
Dean of Students
Doug Koczur has been a champion of and for the Eagle Hill student voice since arriving on campus in 1996. Mr. Koczur began his EHS career as an English teacher, academic advisor, and coach, and his ability to easily and naturally earn the trust of the student body allowed him to develop meaningful relationships and engage in impactful conversations with students.
In September 2013, Mr. Koczur took the opportunity to move to the student life side of the school, assuming the role of dean of students, which has afforded him the opportunity to continue helping students in the areas of positive decision-making, interpersonal skill development, and the realization of the best versions of themselves. Mr. Koczur also supports the work of our resident counselors and is heavily involved in our athletics programming.
Mr. Koczur earned his bachelor’s degree from Springfield College in English and education with a teaching certificate for grades 5 through 12 and later went on to receive his master’s degree in curriculum development.
Mr. Koczur grew up primarily in nearby Ware, Massachusetts, and currently resides in Eagle Hill housing adjacent to campus with his wife Germaine, who is also a member of the Eagle Hill faculty. Together, they enjoy spending time with their four wonderful sons, Andrew, Kurtis ’16, Zachary, and Brodie.
