Dorm Life

Every student deserves the opportunity to experience all that the academic journey has to offer. The Department of Student Life has been designed to provide a comfortable environment that both reinforces the lessons taught during the class day and encourages our students to explore their extracurricular and personal interests.

Eagle Hill School fosters a spirit of community and encourages involvement and engagement both in and out of the classroom. Students develop and nurture life skills necessary for college and beyond through participation in the student life program that is much more than the dormitories on campus.

Athletics, clubs, activities and weekend trips are specifically chosen to challenge and inspire our students to find new strengths.

Dormitories

The student life program at Eagle Hill School is based on a deliberate and specific curriculum designed to maximize our students’ performance both in and out of the classrooms. Student Life drives the culture and climate of Eagle Hill School while complimenting the lessons taught in the classroom.

Housing 190 boarding students, Eagle Hill School’s dormitories balance the comfort of ample personal space with the valuable lessons of community living. Our underclassmen benefit from the experience of living with a roommate, while our upperclassmen have their own rooms. Each spacious dormitory room is outfitted with a personal phone and Internet connection and designated study areas.

Resident Counselors

Eagle Hill School employs a full-time residential faculty to work with our students in the dormitories and during the evening. In this unique model our residential faculty are devoted solely to dormitory life. Our resident counselors train to become certified life coaches through the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Thus, our resident counselors develop a unified and consistent student life language and culture, and integrate executive functions skills into daily living expectations (organization, time management, self-advocacy, etc.).
