On December 9th, the Eagle Hill girls basketball team hosted Ludlow High School for a joint practice and team bonding experience on the Eagle Hill campus. Coupled with a 90 minute practice together to develop their basketball skills, the two teams shared a large dinner together to connect with one another and celebrate the kick off of their two respective winter seasons.
Matt LaCoille, Eagle Hill’s girls basketball coach and former coach at Ludlow, believes these opportunities are extremely important to building comradery within a school sports program.
“Getting a chance to work on your skills with people who you don’t normally see every day is a really strong way to grow and develop as a student-athlete. Teams sometimes get used to each other by having to practice with the same players every day, so a chance to have my old school come out to our campus and bond over the game of basketball is a fun thing for everyone,” said LaCoille.
The Eagle Hill girls did a tremendous job hosting Ludlow in Hardwick and wish them the best of luck in their season.
The EHS girls basketball team, along with the rest of Eagle Hill’s winter team, kicked off their seasons this week and are looking forward to their respective seasons. For more information on games and schedules, visit the link below.
