Three New Dorms

Dormitories Re-imagined

New dormitories, fittingly constructed in the style of family homes, will ensure that the residential areas of Eagle Hill are as impressive as the academic, athletic, and social spaces. This accurately reflects their importance during a student’s time here. Residential experiences are pivotal in helping students feel that they don’t merely go to Eagle Hill—they belong here.

More than a Dorm

Dorm Precedent example

As opposed to grand hall and large-scale dormitories, home-style buildings will enable us to utilize residential grade contractors and existing professional partnerships.

Not only cost effective, this will also allow us degrees of customization and personality in each space that speak to our dedication to the individuals who will live there.

Community Spaces

Dorm Interior Precedent

Social areas, intentionally varied to allow for groups both large and small, will be the conduit for conversation, relaxation, tutoring, group-study, and more.

Outdoor living spaces will take advantage of Eagle Hill’s abundant views and woodlands.

Large Home Model

Dorms at Field

  • 7,500 sf of living space
  • 18-22 students per home
  • Single rooms abutting common space, creating privacy when needed and community and connectivity throughout common areas
  • Multiple houses provide opportunity for distinct “personalities” and cultures within each building
  • Three residential sized properties allow for construction in phases
  • Location atop the hill will provide expansive views, frame Jordan field, and cause minimal construction disruption to the heart of campus
  • Flexibility of spaces allows for yearly fluctuations in enrollment by gender, class year, etc.
  • Dorm counselor units will feature private entrances and outdoor space while maintaining direct access to student life areas
  • Connection to shared spaces/common areas between dorms
