Mr. Shane Francoeur

Home is a place where I am completely comfortable. It’s a place where I am 100% me. This place is sometimes chaotic and filled with energy, and at other times calm, quiet, and peaceful. But home is always filled with happiness and love. Home for me is not a physical place, but more of a feeling. That feeling comes from those who are surrounding you at that moment. Sometimes I feel most at home, even when away from the physical location. But, above all else home is the place where I am able to take those deep breaths and spend time with loved ones.

Dean of Campus Engagement

Shane joined the faculty at Eagle Hill in July of 2013, after spending 5 years teaching and coaching wrestling at a local public school. Shane serves as the Dean of Campus Engagement, most importantly running the day-to-day operations of the Success Center, and plays an active role with the student body as the director of community activities, wrestling coach, and academic advisor. Shane is an all-in faculty member involved in many aspects of our program, and the students have truly taken to his quick wit and kind demeanor.

Shane is commonly found in or around campus or on the sidelines of all Pioneer athletic events. Whether Shane is serving as coach, academic advisor, or trusted faculty member, students benefit from his honest and caring conversations. Shane is committed to helping students make positive decisions, work through the toughest moments, and become the best version of themselves.

Shane earned his bachelor’s degree from Worcester State University in History and Secondary Education with certificates in grades 5-12, and completed his master’s degree in Sports Leadership from Endicott University in the spring of 2021.

Shane grew up in nearby Barre, Massachusetts and currently owns a home in Hardwick, close to Pioneer Field.  When he is not on campus, he can be found traveling to the coast of Maine or spending time with his wife Becca, and daughters Harper and Piper.
