Eagle Hill School announces a search for the position of Mathematics Teacher for the 2024-2025 academic year.  The successful candidate will hold a degree in mathematics and demonstrate an innovative approach to curriculum design and instruction. The position will include responsibility for teaching a variety of levels of high school mathematics.  Eagle Hill School seeks educators who are eager to participate in the academic, athletic, and co-curricular activities of an innovative and engaging boarding school community.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in mathematics
  • Readiness to teach all levels of mathematics
  • Support students as they solve problems and think critically
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred
  • Citizenship, residency or work visa required

Responsibilities

  • Use a variety of instructional strategies to motivate and inspire students in mathematics
  • Use a mathematics curriculum to teach content that may include – Basic Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus
  • Incorporate technology and other resources to enhance student learning
  • Collaborate with colleagues to continually revise and implement the curriculum to adjust to diverse learners
  • Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues about student progress
  • Engage in the boarding school community and co-curricular programs as well as provide inspirational and innovative education in the classroom setting

Schedule

This is a full-time position and requires the employee to be on site (not remote).
