Mrs. Caryl Rice

Reading Teacher

Caryl has over twenty-three years of experience in the field of education. She began her career working for Head Start, educating and supporting young children and their families. Mrs. Rice became the coordinator of special education and Mental health services for all children in the program. She left Head Start and began working as a special education teacher. Mrs. Rice has worked in public and private schools with students in grades prek-12. She holds a master’s of education in special education from Bay Path University. She has been trained in Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, Fountas and Pinnell Guided Reading, Fountas and Pinnell Benchmark Assessment System, EdMark Reading Program, and Structured Word Inquiry.

Mrs. Rice has lived in Hardwick for thirty years. She has five grown children and a preteen son. She loves the ocean, sitting around a fire with friends, and traveling, but more than anything else, she loves spending time with her family.
