Mr. Jed Geary

Director of College Counseling

After graduating from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a BA in psychology, Jed Geary picked coffee in Hawaii, taught autistic children in Massachusetts, and taught English in Taiwan. He arrived in Hardwick, where he has made his home, in 1996. Mr. Geary has served as a teacher and chair of the pragmatics department and earned his M.Ed and license in guidance counseling, which he uses in his current position as director of college counseling. 

Mr. Geary has spoken at national conferences for college counselors (NACAC), boarding schools (TABS), and learning disabilities (LDA). He continues to play ultimate Frisbee competitively, has been on a national championship team, and jumped at the chance to start a team at EHS in 2010. Mr. Geary enjoys traveling to colleges all over the country and to tournaments with his ultimate team. He lives with his wife, Jessica, whom he met at Eagle Hill. They have two wonderful sons, Connor and Quinn.
