Mr. Carl Mercier

Director, Archipley Cultural Center

Carl Mercier was born and raised in northeastern Connecticut and received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut with a BFA in theater. He came to Eagle Hill as a technical director with over thirty years’ experience working onstage and backstage in theaters throughout New England. 

Mr. Mercier taught for sixteen years at Pomfret School as tech director and theater director. In addition, he was the artistic director for Break-A-Leg Productions and the Black Box Theater Company

Carl is currently the director of the Archipley Cultural Center at Eagle Hill School, teaching technical theater interns set design and construction. Mr. Mercier has four children and lives with his family in Woodstock, Connecticut.
