Eagle Hill School’s spectacular 62,000 square foot athletic facility, the Ronald M. Baglio Sports & Fitness Center, features such amenities as a competition basketball court, two courts with abutting synthetic floors to allow for indoor tennis, batting cages, volleyball, soccer, lacrosse, etc. during the winter months, as well as a running track, wrestling room, dance studio, cardiovascular center, squash pavilion, TrackMan golf simulator, competition swimming pool, rock-climbing wall, four team rooms, and five locker rooms.
Thanks to a partnership with Dr. John Ratey, author of Spark and professor at Harvard Medical School, Eagle Hill spent two years designing and building, as well as developing a program, that enables—inspires even—every EHS student, faculty, and community member to engage in physical activity.
Mounting evidence shows that rigorous exercise and proper nutrition prepares the brain the learn, improves mood and attention, lowers stress and anxiety, fights obesity, moderates the effects of hormonal change, and improves self-esteem and self-worth.
Dedicated in honor of
Ronald M. Baglio, who served as Eagle Hill School’s Assistant Headmaster for Student Life for eighteen years, the
Sports and Fitness Center is a modern training and fitness facility that allows the EHS community to fully explore and embrace a model of lifelong wellness.
