Eagle Hill alumna Erin Tridle ‘09 shines as associate producer of the Kelly Clarkson Show.

Busy days and making connections – that’s show business. But for Eagle Hill alumna Erin Tridle ’09, that’s just a typical day at the office.

Tridle is currently the associate producer of The Kelly Clarkson Show, the critically acclaimed, uplifting daytime destination for humor, heart and connection featuring Emmy® Award winning talk show host, Grammy® Award winning artist and America’s original idol, Kelly Clarkson. Prior to producing The Kelly Clarkson Show, Tridle had other stops in television for Henry Danger, Game Shakers, Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Funny Or Die, and Steve Harvey.

This tremendous success in television was not without a few bumps in the road. Rewind to 2006, when Tridle was struggling with her educational experience.

“I was struggling horribly at my public school and my parents knew I needed something different, more crafted for my learning style. Eagle Hill was clearly the right choice for my learning differences at the time,” said Tridle.

In transitioning to Eagle Hill, Tridle learned many lessons that have stuck with her to this day. Few of these lessons were more important than the value of making connections with people.

“My high school experience was complicated, just like any high schooler. There were good times and bad, of course. But what I remember most were the connections I made with the people there. Connections that have long outlasted my time at the school and I suspect will go on for quite some time.”

“EHS faculty gave me a family when my own couldn’t be there because of the distance (my family was in Chicago). They gave me a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen to me, eyes to watch over me, and of course, a brain to think when I wasn’t using my own (which happened plenty of times!). They also allowed me to do things I never thought I’d get to do, like produce my very own album of original music!” said Tridle.

This inspiration and freedom from the EHS faculty helped set Tridle on a path of exploration that stretched far beyond her time in Hardwick. The thrill of adventure has allowed her to thrive in the field she works in today.

“Eagle Hill taught me how to forge lasting, impactful relationships and, interestingly enough, cultivated a sense of adventure in me. If it weren’t for EHS’s weekend trips and international spring break trips, I never would have learned to find awe and wonder in the world, which I think led me to chase my dreams of working in television, the most adventurous job of them all!

Perhaps the most notable of adventures while working in television for Tridle was when the camera was spun around to face her. In early 2021, Tridle set out to film herself on Instagram creating all 110 recipes from Anthony Bourdain's Les Halles Cookbook. This effort was to support Mental Health America (, a nonprofit with a commitment to promoting mental health as a critical part of overall wellness, including prevention services for all. Inspired by Erin’s tremendous message, host Kelly Clarkson featured Erin during one of the segments on her show. You can watch the entire clip to the left. With the exciting aspirations of creating and writing a television show on the horizon, Tridle understands her work is just beginning. That work, though daunting at times, represents a challenge she is more than ready to tackle.

“I would tell any student at Eagle Hill to learn to put your nose to the grindstone. Don’t give up. Keep at it always. Don’t let a single soul tell you that you can’t do what you’ve set your mind to, because you absolutely can. A lot of people are going to have ideas about what you can and can’t do, and I say forget that – only concentrate on what you believe you can do. That’s the most important opinion of them all!”

Tridle’s determined and passionate spirit represents the very best that the Eagle Hill community has to offer. We are so proud of her and the amazing accomplishments she continues to achieve.
