Mr. Dana Harbert

Director of Admission

Dana Harbert has served as the director of admission since 2004. He began his career at EHS in 1984 as a teacher of reading and writing. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut in 1978 and a master of education as a consulting teacher of reading from Westfield State College in 1991. Mr. Harbert served as the chair of the EHS reading department and as the assistant director of education for many years prior to his assuming the role of Director of Admission.

Dana is a Fellow in the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators, an honor that affords him the opportunity to train and supervise teachers in the Orton-Gillingham approach. His over thirty-five years of experience at Eagle Hill School, combined with his expertise in the area of reading, make Mr. Harbert uniquely qualified to serve in this most important administrative role. Outside of admission he is an academic advisor.
