Speech and Language
Developing learning strategies based on a whole brain learning philosophy.
Instruction by a speech language professional takes place in individual sessions during the academic day. Targets include a variety of receptive and expressive language skills, as well as selected learning skills based on individual student needs.
Eagle Hill students develop more effective learning strategies based on a whole brain learning philosophy. This is accomplished by implementing a wide variety of academic activities to support learning and literacy goals. The focus is on students becoming more aware of personal learning strengths and challenges. Teachers and students work closely together to utilize new learning strategies for classroom assignments, ensuring greater generalization of skills.
“My son struggled with school for years before attending Eagle Hill. He was demoralized with poor study skills when he arrived. Eagle Hill changed everything and afforded my son the confidence he needed to attack school with gusto and invaluable study skills necessary to support his newfound motivation.”
