Mrs. Tracy Jaskot
Reading Teacher
Tracy Jaskot earned her Bachelor of Music from Ithaca College in 2005 and her Master’s degree in Elementary Education from Boston College in 2007. She holds dual certification from the state of Massachusetts to teach early childhood grades PK-2 and elementary grades 1-6, with a Sheltered English Immersion endorsement.
Since 2005, Mrs. Jaskot has been a classroom teacher as well as a reading specialist in both public and private schools. Some of her most profound lessons have come from her son, who was diagnosed with autism at twenty-five months old in 2020, and from her father, who has dyslexia.
Mrs. Jaskot shares her passion for literacy by helping students reach their unique potential and by building on their strengths. An Orton-Gillingham training early in her career changed the way she thought of and taught literacy from then on.
Mrs. Jaskot plays oboe in area orchestras and lives in Rutland with her husband and children. She is also a published contributor to an online parenthood magazine and loves taking walks throughout all four seasons.
