College Counseling


Naviance Family Connection is a web-based program designed to help you with your college search. It contains information about individual colleges, statistics regarding Eagle Hill School’s application history with them and links to their websites. To connect to your account, use your password distributed at the winter Junior College Forum. Contact the college counseling office if you do not have your password.

ACT: The ACT is a multiple-choice college entrance exam, scored on a scale of 1 (low) to 36 (high). A Composite Score is reported reflecting the average of scores in four categories: English, Math, Reading and Science. Students may choose either of two test options - the standard ACT or the ACT Plus Writing, which includes a 30-minute essay.

College Board: The SAT is a college entrance exam consisting of multiple choice sections and an essay. There are three reported scores: critical reading, math, and writing, scored from 200 (low) to 800 (high). A perfect score is 2400. 

Common Application: Once completed online, the Common Application can be submitted to any number of more than 400 colleges.

FAFSA: The official government website for the FAFSA - Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Required document for all applying for financial aid or federal loans.
