Mrs. Nohea Mahan
Mrs. Mahan was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. Her love of history took her to Rome, Italy, where she earned a BA in Business Administration from The American University of Rome. During her time there, she interned at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and decided to pursue a career in diplomacy.
While completing her M.A. in Government and Politics from St. John's University, Mrs. Mahan worked as a student ambassador helping new students transition to college life. It was here that she found her true passion. For the next 10 years, she worked in college admissions traveling the globe, promoting higher education focusing on inclusion and diversity.
While working in Hawaii, she conducted outreach to local schools, seeing the need for teachers, she completed her Masters in Secondary Education at Hawaii Pacific University. For the last 3 years, she has been working as a Social Studies Teacher where she shared her love for international travel and education with a new generation of students.
Mrs. Mahan loves traveling, cooking, opera, swimming and hiking with her family. She is looking forward to starting at Eagle Hill School so she can help guide students through the complex world of college admissions.
