Mrs. Nohea Mahan
College Counselor
Mrs. Mahan was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. Her love of history took her to Rome, Italy, where she earned a BA in Business Administration from The American University of Rome. During her time there, she interned at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and decided to pursue a career in diplomacy.
While completing her M.A. in Government and Politics from St. John's University, Mrs. Mahan worked as a student ambassador helping new students transition to college life. It was here that she found her true passion. For the next ten years, she worked in college admissions traveling the globe, promoting higher education focusing on inclusion and diversity.
While working in Hawaii, she conducted outreach to local schools, seeing the need for teachers, she completed her Masters in Secondary Education at Hawaii Pacific University. For three years, she worked as a Social Studies Teacher where she shared her love for international travel and education with a new generation of students.
Mrs. Mahan loves traveling, cooking, opera, swimming, and hiking with her family. At Eagle Hill School, she channels her extensive expertise to guide students through the complex world of college admissions.
