Jonathan Baker, College Counselor
Having grown up outside of Boston in Needham, MA, Jonathan graduated from Princeton University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, where he was a lefty pitcher for the Princeton baseball team. After teaching for a year in Columbus, OH, Jonathan decided to attend law school and earned a Juris Doctor degree from Northeastern Law School.
While he enjoyed practicing law in Boston for ten years, Jonathan came to realize his true passion was education, and made a career change to get back to working with students and families. Jonathan enjoyed working at Worcester Academy for over 20 years, where he served as both Director of College Counseling and Director of Admission and Financial Aid. While at Worcester Academy Jonathan created and taught a history elective in Ethics, advised the Academy’s mock trial team, and coached baseball.
The year prior to starting at Eagle Hill Jonathan was a college counselor at Boston University Academy. Jonathan is the proud father of two sons, Christian and Chase. Chase attended high school at The Greenwood School in Putney, VT, a small boarding school for students who learn differently.
Jonathan enjoys cycling, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, trivia, and traveling throughout the U.S. Jonathan lives in Worcester, MA, and looks forward to the inaugural season of the Worcester Red Sox in 2021!
