Kristyl Kelly, College Counselor

Kristyl earned a BA in Psychology from Westfield State University and a M.Ed with a license in Guidance Counseling from Springfield College. Kristyl got her professional start at the Springfield YMCA as a camp counselor for Camp Weber while she attended Westfield State University. Over the years she worked her way up within the YMCA from the after school program to Director of Child Care and Family Services and eventually to the Teen Outreach Director. Running a variety of leadership, life skills and employment programs for teens, she found the population she wanted to work with and earned her Senior Program Director certification at the YMCA. In addition, Kristyl followed her passion for the outdoors by becoming involved with wilderness trainings which she continues through Project Adventure. She has led many teen outdoor adventure trips and has found them be very important and powerful experiences. Kristyl is currently the ropes course manager at Eagle Hill as well as the faculty advisor to Student Council and Girls Leadership.

Karen Goudey, College Counselor

Karen earned a BA in economics and French studies from Smith College and an MA in intercultural relations from Lesley University. Over the course of her education, she spent three years living, studying, and working abroad. Her passion for international education led her to pursue a career working with international educational exchange programs and then international student admissions. Karen has spent the past 17 years working in college admission - first at Emerson College and most recently Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) where she led the university's international admissions efforts and coordinated WPI's FIRST Robotics scholarship program. With her husband Kurt, she has helped to raise his two children to adulthood, experiencing first-hand their struggles with ADHD, executive dysfunction, and school-related anxiety.  They have also served as a host family for several international high school students through the AFS program.  Karen is excited to work closely with Eagle Hill students and families utilizing her experiences in admissions to assist them through the college search and admission process.
