Mr. Jonathan Baker
Having grown up outside of Boston in Needham, Massachusetts, Jonathan Baker graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Princeton University, where he was a lefty pitcher for the baseball team. After teaching for a year in Columbus, Ohio, Mr. Baker decided to attend law school and earned a juris doctor degree from Northeastern Law School.
While he enjoyed practicing law in Boston for ten years, Mr. Baker came to realize his true passion was education, and made a career change to get back to working with students and families. Mr. Baker enjoyed working at Worcester Academy for over twenty years, where he served as both director of college counseling and director of admission and financial aid. While at Worcester Academy, he created and taught a history elective in ethics, advised the academy’s mock trial team, and coached baseball.
The year prior to starting at Eagle Hill Mr. Baker was a college counselor at Boston University Academy. He is the proud father of two sons, Christian and Chase. Chase attended high school at the Greenwood School in Putney, Vermont, a small boarding school for students who learn differently.
Mr. Baker enjoys cycling, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, trivia, and traveling throughout the United States. Mr. Baker lives in Worcester, Massachusetts, and looks forward to the inaugural season of the Worcester Red Sox in 2021!
