Reflecting on Summer Session 2026

Highlights from a summer of learning, growth, and community on campus

Over the past four weeks, Eagle Hill School’s campus was filled with learning, adventure, and connection as students took part in Summer Session 2026. Each summer, Eagle Hill offers a program designed to support academic growth, skill development, and personal confidence. Students participated in academic courses and a wide range of enrichment opportunities, from art and creative writing to model rocketry, beekeeping, outdoor adventure, and more. Through hands-on learning and engaging activities, students were encouraged to try new things, develop skills in different areas, and explore their interests. Whether creating, building, writing, exploring, swimming, or staying active, students pursued their interests while continuing to grow as learners.

These shared experiences brought the Summer Session community together and gave students opportunities to spend time with friends, connect with faculty and staff, and create lasting memories.

Beyond the classroom, students enjoyed weekend trips, including whale watching, as well as evening activities, sports, and campus traditions like Freeze Pop Friday. A highlight of the program was the Pioneer Cup, a friendly team competition that encouraged teamwork, school spirit, and connection as students supported and celebrated one another. Congratulations to the Black Team for taking home the win this year!

The Summer Session community also included members of the Pioneer Club, Eagle Hill’s New Student Orientation program for students who will attend Eagle Hill School in the fall. The program gave incoming students an opportunity to become familiar with campus, meet future teachers and dorm parents, and begin building connections before the school year. Leaders in Training (LIT) students developed leadership skills while supporting younger members of the community, while Eagle Hill School interns helped students navigate campus and provided guidance throughout the program. Together, students across all areas of Summer Session formed connections that will continue beyond the summer.

The final week of Summer Session brought the community together for several end-of-summer celebrations, including Splash Day, the Summer Program Award Ceremony, the End-of-Summer Cookout, and the annual Swim Olympics. Students also had opportunities to reflect on their experiences, celebrate their accomplishments, and enjoy their final days on campus with friends and mentors. The session concluded with conferences and a community luncheon, giving students and families time to connect before returning home. As students departed Eagle Hill, they carried with them new experiences, lasting friendships, and memories of a summer spent learning, growing, and connecting.
