New Head of School Announced
Ms. Erin Wynne is unanimously appointed as the School's fourth Head of School.
It is my sincere honor to announce that the board of trustees has voted unanimously to appoint Erin Wynne as Eagle Hill’s fourth Head of School. Ms. Wynne’s twenty-six years at Eagle Hill afford her a deep understanding of the mission, history, and traditions of Eagle Hill. Her ambitious and clear-eyed vision inspires confidence, and her reputation among faculty, staff, students, and parents is built of trust, honesty, sincerity, and good judgment.
Erin is a graduate of Villanova University and the University of Connecticut School of Law, and she is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association. Erin joined Eagle Hill School in September 1997. She served as the director of admission from 1998 to 2004. She then moved to the development office, serving as the director of annual giving from 2007 to 2009; in June 2009, she assumed the role of director of development while continuing to serve as the school’s events coordinator. In June 2015, she was appointed director of institutional advancement, overseeing the offices of admission, development, marketing, alumni/ae relations, and special events.
Looking back on Erin’s dedication to Eagle Hill, she has often been promoted to assist in areas of institutional need that subsequently became areas of institutional strength under her leadership. As a result of her good work, she was appointed assistant head of school for institutional advancement in June of 2018.
In this most recent role, Erin’s expertise in strategic planning, her ease in establishing strong relationships throughout the community, and her legendary attention to detail have been instrumental in the school’s long-range planning. The entire board is excited to work with Erin as she steps into this new role and brings her talent and passion to shaping the future of this great school.
Erin lives on Eagle Hill’s campus with her four children—Keeley, Rowan, and twins Mairead and Nolan—and their goldendoodle, Maggie.
Please join me in congratulating Ms. Wynne and celebrating this moment in the school’s history.
Respectfully,
Marilyn A. Waller, Chair
Board of Trustees
