Mapleline Arrives at Eagle Hill

Fresh, local Mapleline Farm milk is now served daily—bringing Hadley’s award‑winning dairy straight to our students.

Students at Eagle Hill School are enjoying a fresh addition to the dining hall this year with the installation of a new milk dispenser featuring milk from Mapleline Farm in Hadley, Massachusetts. The farm contacted Lee Masten, director of food services, and asked if Eagle Hill would be interested in partnering with them. Lee immediately jumped at the opportunity, knowing how important local foods are to our community.

Milk remains an important part of school nutrition programs because it provides essential nutrients such as calcium, vitamin D, and protein, which support student growth, bone health, and academic success. Access to nutritious options during the school day helps students stay energized, focused, and ready to learn. With options of whole, 2%, and chocolate milk, there is something for everyone.

The new dispenser allows students to enjoy locally sourced milk from Mapleline Farm, a family-owned and operated dairy farm in the Pioneer Valley.

The new dispenser allows students to enjoy locally sourced milk from Mapleline Farm, a family-owned and operated dairy farm in the Pioneer Valley. Bottled on-site within hours of milking, Mapleline milk comes from a herd of Jersey cows known for producing naturally rich and creamy milk. The farm's cows naturally produce A2 milk, which many consumers find easier to digest.

In addition to providing high-quality dairy products, Mapleline Farm is committed to sustainable agricultural practices. The farm utilizes rooftop solar panels, natural field fertilization methods, and land stewardship initiatives designed to preserve farmland for future generations.

The partnership reflects Eagle Hill School's commitment to student wellness, environmental responsibility, and supporting local agriculture.
