Girls’ Varsity Volleyball

The girls’ volleyball team experienced an unforgettable finishing the season with five wins. A season highlight came during Family Weekend when the match against Marie Philipps delivered a dramatic, heart-pounding victory. Despite facing adversity, being down 0-2 leading into the third set, the team showed incredible determination, rallying to secure a 19-17 victory in the 5th and final set. The win was even more memorable with the support of a large crowd of family and friends, who cheered the team on as they claimed victory.

Varsity Fall Rowing

The Eagle Hill crew team had an eventful season, racing four times across various locations—once on Lake Quinsigamond at the New England Junior Championships in Worcester, MA, and three other races on the Connecticut River at the Paper City Regatta in Holyoke, MA; the Head of the Riverfront in Hartford, CT; and the Northampton Crew Regatta in Northampton, MA. The team showed steady improvement, with times getting faster at each race, culminating in a strong performance at the Northampton Regatta, where several boats earned placements.

Though the season was short, it provided a great opportunity to get students back into an athletic mindset and help them prepare for the spring racing season. All athletes raced at least once, which was particularly impressive considering that ten out of the twenty-four team members were novices—first-year rowers new to the sport. Throughout the season, the team rowed in fours and doubles, concluding the season just after Halloween.

Girls Varsity Soccer

The girls’ soccer team had an exceptional season of success this fall. Although the season didn’t end as hoped—with a tough loss in penalty kicks in the RVAL tournament championship and an early exit from the SENE tournament in the quarter-finals—we finished the regular season with an impressive 11-6-1 record, marking a winning streak the program hasn’t seen in years. What truly distinguished this team, however, was the remarkable improvement in every player, individually and as a teammate. This reflected the commitment and dedication each player showed to one another and toward shared goals. It was a fantastic season of great soccer, and we are excited for the next season!

Varsity Boys’ Soccer

This season was one of resilience for the boys’ varsity Pioneers. They finished with a record of four wins, six losses, and three ties, and for the second year in a row, they qualified for the SENE playoffs. In a hard-fought quarter-final match, they were narrowly defeated by Rocky Hill Country Day School, 4-2. Earlier in the season, Rocky Hill had dominated the Pioneers with a 5-1 win, highlighting the significant improvement and effort EHS displayed throughout the year.

Season highlights included a dramatic comeback against Bancroft School. Down 2-0 with less than two minutes remaining, EHS mounted an incredible rally, scoring two quick goals to tie the game in the final seconds of regulation. Additionally, the Pioneers secured two 3-1 victories over rival Dublin in back-to-back Family Weekend matchups, further showcasing the team’s resilience.
