Eagle Hill Welcomes Kim Toner
Eagle Hill’s newest math teacher, Kim Toner, is a lifelong educator passionate about empowering students through mathematics. After teaching high school math for eighteen years in Florida, Kim brings experience, knowledge, and a student-centered approach.
With a degree in Liberal Studies and a triple minor in anthropology, mathematics, and education, from the University of Central Florida, she is well-versed in the subject matter and brings a unique perspective to her teaching. Kim's natural aptitude for mathematics inspired her to pursue a career where she could help others overcome their challenges with the subject.
At Eagle Hill, Kim is particularly excited about working with students at their level, free from the rigid curriculum constraints often found in public schools. This flexibility allows her to focus on the individual needs of her students, helping them develop confidence in their abilities and making math an accessible, enjoyable experience. Her teaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that every student has the potential to not only learn but to thrive. Kim believes that building strong relationships with students encourages investment in their learning. She encourages her students to keep an open mind, put in their best effort, and practice consistently.

In addition to her passion for teaching, Kim brings a wealth of extracurricular experience to Eagle Hill. During her time in Florida, she was a cheerleading coach, fostering teamwork, enthusiasm, and school pride among her students. Now at Eagle Hill, she hopes to extend that same energy with a vision to create a group that encourages students with school spirit to cheer for their peers during games.
With her passion for math and commitment to student growth, Kim aims to inspire and guide Eagle Hill students toward success.
