Eagle Hill Welcomes Back Alumna Deirdre Meagher ’19
As an Athletics Intern and Assistant Coach, Deirdre brings her passion and leadership to Eagle Hill School.
Eagle Hill School is pleased to welcome back alumna Deirdre Meagher ’19 as an intern under the guidance of athletic director Cindy Coughlin. Deirdre, who recently completed her Bachelor’s in Sports Management and MBA from Anna Maria College, has returned to the school where she first discovered her passion for athletics and leadership.
“I’m so excited to be back at Eagle Hill, where it all started for me,” said Deirdre. “The support I received as a student-athlete here shaped who I am today, and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to give back to Eagle Hill.”
At Anna Maria College, Deirdre excelled academically and as a volleyball player. Her experiences both on and off the court inspired her to pursue a career in sports administration, and now she is honing her skills as a future athletic director.
“Deirdre is a natural leader. She brings a wealth of knowledge and a strong work ethic. She is a perfect example of what we strive to instill in our students: perseverance, passion, and commitment to excellence.”
In her internship, Deirdre works closely with Cindy to ensure the smooth operation of the athletic programs. Diedre also volunteers as an assistant coach for the varsity volleyball team and will be an assistant coach for the varsity girls’ basketball team this winter.
Cindy Coughlin has been impressed by Deirdre’s dedication and enthusiasm. “Deirdre is a natural leader,” Coughlin said. “She brings a wealth of knowledge and a strong work ethic. She is a perfect example of what we strive to instill in our students: perseverance, passion, and commitment to excellence.”
As she continues her internship, Deirdre is excited to take on more responsibilities and continue learning from the staff at Eagle Hill. Her motto is: “Keep pushing hard and never give up.” She encourages students to apply that mindset in athletics and all areas of life every day.
EHS is thrilled to have a passionate, driven alumna back on campus working with our current students.
