2025 Spring Family Weekend

Families are welcomed back to campus to share in special memories.

Each May, Eagle Hill School welcomes families for Spring Family Weekend. The 2025 event, held from Thursday, May 8, through Sunday, May 11, featured a full schedule of academic programming, athletics, performances, and community gatherings.

The weekend officially began Thursday evening with A Gracious Welcome & A Grand Farewell reception at the Archipley Cultural Center. This event honored Marilyn Waller, an outgoing Chair of the Board of Trustees, and welcomed families as they arrived on campus.

Friday opened with a Mini-School for parents, offering 15-minute classroom sessions led by faculty to give families a firsthand look at the student experience. Conferences began afterward and continued throughout the day, with time for parents to meet with advisors, dorm parents, and college counselors. In the afternoon, families gathered at the Baglio Sports and Fitness Center for an indoor Pioneer Tailgate and a lacrosse matchup against Dublin School on Jordan Field. Battling the opposition and the weather, Eagle Hill earned a 17–12 win. The day ended with the student performance of Lucky Stiff in the Abby Theatre—a fast-paced musical—closing the day.

Saturday began with a bang—a thunderous one, to be precise!

Saturday began with a bang—a thunderous one, to be precise! A powerful thunderstorm dropped trees and powerlines around campus. The school’s maintenance team immediately went to work restoring power where possible, and the show carried on. Breakfast in Chapman Dining Commons went off without a hitch, and conferences continued, followed by a crew regatta at Lake Wickaboag. Eagle Hill competed against Marianapolis Prep and swept gold in both flights. Later, SENE Tournament Ultimate Frisbee games took place at Jordan Field, where Eagle Hill defeated MacDuffie 11–4 and Dublin 6–5. The evening was reserved for Family Night, giving families the flexibility to enjoy off-campus outings or take part in campus activities.

A Mother’s Day Brunch on Sunday, recognizing mothers and supportive figures in the community, was the perfect sendoff. Many thanks to all who came out to share in the festivities, and in particular to the staff who worked so diligently to carry out the weekend despite the challenges the weather presented.
