Mr. Steve Judge

Mr. Judge was formerly the President and CEO of the Private Equity Growth Capital Council, the leading trade association for private equity firms.  From 1991 to 2007 he was Senior Vice President for Government Affairs and Head of the Washington Office of the Securities Industry Association (now SIFMA) representing the interests of Broker/Dealers and investment banks. In both roles Mr. Judge directed the industry’s state and federal legislative initiatives and participated directly in international trade negotiations.   Mr. Judge came to Washington in 1978 to serve on the staff of Congressman Bruce Vento.  He finished his time on Capitol Hill as Deputy Staff Director for the House Committee on Banking, Finance and Urban Affairs focusing on financial services, international trade and housing legislation. 

Steve and Sharon moved to Amherst Massachusetts in 2016 where they are actively involved in the local community.  Mr. Judge serves as Chairman of the Amherst Zoning Board of Appeals.  Mr. Judge has served on the Board of Directors of the National Law Center on Homelessness and Poverty. 

Mr. Judge grew up in the Twin Cities of Minnesota and received a BA in Government from St. John’s University.

Steve and Sharon Judge have been part of the Eagle Hill community for almost 20 years and are the proud parents of Taylor ’07 and Charlie ’10.
