Mrs. Joanna Lipman

Joanna Lipman is married to Josh Lipman, and they are parents to Allegra ’25. Joanna received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a certificate in acting from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. She produced and performed in Off-Broadway plays and regional theater productions. She started a non-profit theater company in NYC, gaining experience in fundraising, budgeting, marketing, company management, and mission articulation. She also owned Ruby, a New York business that sold vintage clothing and accessories at shows around the country.

After moving to Memphis, she became part of the founding team of Girls on the Run Memphis in 2018 and currently serves as Executive Director. Girls on the Run is a social and emotional development program designed to empower girls.

Joanna and Josh served on the Parent Advisory Board for the past three years, serving this last year as the chairs.
