Jim Richardson began his career as a teacher at Eagle Hill School after graduating from the College of the Holy Cross. Mr. Richardson later attended and graduated from Suffolk Law School and became a partner at the Boston firm of Deutsch, Williams, Brooks, DeRensis, Holland, and Drachman, PC. He stopped practicing law in the early 1990s to pursue his passion of racing Farr 40 sailboats in international competitions. His recent racing titles include the 1998 and 2004 World Championships, 1999 U.S. National Championships, 2000 U.S. Winter Circuit Championships, 2001 Newport Regatta, and the 2001 Block Island Championships. Mr. Richardson is the founder of the Willauer School, an experiential learning school on Thompson’s Island in Boston Harbor. He has been an Eagle Hill trustee since 2003 and is also a trustee or member of Sail Newport, Carnegie Abbey Country Club, New York Yacht Club, Royal Ocean Racing Club, Hyannis Yacht Club, and Georgetown Country Club. Mr. Richardson resides in Boston, Massachusetts.
