James works for Expeditors International of Washington, Inc developing and directing their suite of employee leadership development programs. Additionally, James founded Expeditors’ military recruiting program, Opportunity Knocks for Veterans, focused on hiring veterans in the Continental United States and engaging with the US Department of Defense to support military to civilian transition programs. James earned his doctor of education at Northeastern University.
James completed a successful career in the Navy where he served for 20 years on active duty as a Navy Seal. He retired at the rank of Commander (CDR) in September of 2009. While in the Navy, James held a number of operational and staff-level positions in the United States as well as overseas. He has written numerous articles on various topics related to the military and has been a guest speaker on national security and other related topics.
James is the father of Charlotte, EHS Class of ’22. He has co-chaired the EHS Parent Advisory Board along with his wife Joanna.
